Thanksgiving Basket Drive ~ 2011

Our Thanksgiving Basket Drive was amazing as usual! We blessed 14 families with baskets including turkeys, drinks, rolls & all the necessities for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for a whole family! Thanks to everyone who donated the food & money! Let's make next year even better!

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 ~ For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Matthew 5:3 ~ “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

The poor in spirit - the humble - will see God! God cannot use us unless we have humbled ourselves to Him & His way of doing things! He cannot use a person who thinks more highly of himself than he should. A person who exalts himself shall be humbled, but those who are humbled will be exalted by God (Matthew 23:12).

Psalm 51:16-17 ~ You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

A broken spirit & a contrite heart - these are the things that are a part of you when your heart is right with God! Your walk speaks louder than your talk & because people are watching what you do more than they listen to what you say, they will know when you are not who you claim to be. When your heart is not right, your actions will not be right either! A man who covers his sin won't prosper, therefore our prayer must be that God creates, in us, a clean heart.

On Sunday, June 5, 2011, we were blessed to have Minister Marcel Joseph & his lovely wife, Evelyn, with us at Zion Field! He brought an amazing word from God! It was a blessing having both him & his wife & a blessing to be able to fellowship after the service!

Minister Joseph's church, Sword & Psalm Ministry, is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their "mandate", as noted on their website, is "'to increase the Christian expression' in the life of every believer they come in contact with on a daily basis". Family & Friends Day ~ Summer 2011

Our annual Family & Friends Day Picnic was a huge success! We enjoyed all of our guests, family, friends & members who showed up! Despite the storm toward the end, God still blessed us with a beautiful day! We give Him all the glory, honor & praise & we're already looking forward to next year!
